These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Langee.
By creating an account or using Langee, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- We may suspend or restrict accounts for security, abuse, policy breaches, or legal reasons.
3. What Langee provides
Langee is a platform that connects students and tutors for language learning, including trial lessons, 1:1 lessons, and group lessons.
Langee provides the app, scheduling, messaging, safety tools, and payment support. Tutors are independent and are not employees of Langee.
4. Bookings and lesson rules
- You can book lessons based on tutor availability and your account status.
- Trial lessons can have different timing and rules from regular lessons.
- We keep records of lesson attendance and booking changes so we can run support and resolve disputes fairly.
- We may cancel or move lessons if needed for safety, service issues, or rule enforcement.
5. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds
- Whether you receive a refund depends on when and why the lesson was cancelled.
- For standard cancellations, refunds usually depend on cancelling more than 12 hours before the lesson starts.
- If nobody joins a lesson, or one side does not show up, the booking may be updated automatically under our no-show rules.
- In unusual situations, our team may review the case and make a final decision.
6. Payments and payouts
- Student payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
- Tutor payouts are handled through connected payout accounts with our payment providers.
- Platform fees may apply.
- You are responsible for taxes and legal obligations that apply to your role and jurisdiction.
We do not store full card details.
7. Tutor obligations
Tutors must:
- Provide accurate profile and qualification information
- Deliver lessons professionally and lawfully
- Follow booking and attendance policies
- Comply with payment provider onboarding and verification requirements
Group lesson access can be approved, limited, or removed by our team.
8. Student obligations
Students must:
- Use the platform respectfully and lawfully
- Attend lessons on time and follow lesson conduct rules
- Provide truthful booking and payment information
9. Community rules and prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against others
- Post unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
- Attempt fraud, payment abuse, account takeover, or platform misuse
- Bypass safety checks, moderation actions, or account restrictions
If rules are broken, we may remove content and limit or suspend accounts.
10. User content
You keep ownership of content you create (for example, profile text, posts, comments, and messages). By posting content, you allow us to store, use, and display it so we can run and improve Langee.
You are responsible for ensuring your content is lawful and does not infringe third-party rights.
11. Reviews, reports, and disputes
Langee may provide tools for reviews, reporting, and disputes. We may investigate issues and resolve them, including by removing content or taking account action.
Platform decisions on moderation and dispute outcomes are final unless required otherwise by law.
12. Third-party services
Langee uses third-party services (for example payments, analytics, video, hosting, and communications). Some parts of the service may be affected if those providers have outages or delays.
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- Langee is provided as available, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, specific earnings, specific learning outcomes, or compatibility with every device.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Langee Ltd is not liable for losses that are not a direct and foreseeable result of our breach.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Termination
You may stop using Langee at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk, or where legally required.
Any provisions that should reasonably survive termination (for example payment, disputes, liability, and legal compliance) will continue to apply.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Langee after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
